Move like yourself again

Ash House is a calm, unhurried chiropractic practice for stiff backs, tight necks and bodies that have forgotten how easy movement can feel. We explain what we find, treat gently and give you a plan you can follow at home.

What brings people in

Everyday aches, taken seriously

If something has been nagging for weeks, or it keeps coming back, a proper assessment is a good place to start.

  • Low back

Stiffness getting out of bed, discomfort after sitting, or a back that tightens after lifting.

  • Neck & desk strain

Tight shoulders and a stiff neck from long days at a screen or behind the wheel.

  • Tension headaches

Headaches that seem to build with posture, stress and tight upper-back muscles.

  • Sport & training

Niggles that keep interrupting your runs, lifts, rides or weekend games.

  • Pregnancy comfort

Gentle, position-adapted care for the changing load on your back and pelvis.

  • Joint stiffness

Hips, shoulders and mid-back that feel locked up and slow to warm up.

Care at Ash House

Three ways we help

Most visits combine these, weighted to what your body needs and what you're comfortable with.

01

Chiropractic adjustments

Precise, controlled movements to restore motion in joints that have stiffened up. We always explain first, and gentler low-force options are available.

  • Spine, pelvis and ribs
  • Shoulders, hips and extremities
  • Low-force alternatives on request
02

Soft-tissue work

Hands-on release for tight, guarded muscles, so adjustments settle in and the relief lasts longer between visits.

  • Targeted muscle release
  • Assisted stretching
  • Pressure always set by you
03

Movement coaching

Short, specific exercises and small changes to your desk, training or sleep setup that help your body hold on to progress.

  • A few exercises, not a long list
  • Workspace and posture tips
  • Return-to-activity guidance
Your first visit

Nothing rushed, nothing hidden

A first appointment is longer than a follow-up. That leaves room to understand the whole picture before any treatment begins.

  1. Talk

We listen to your history, your routine and what you'd like to get back to doing.

  2. Assess

Posture, movement and orthopaedic checks, with each one explained in plain language as we go.

  3. Treat

If care is appropriate, we start gently that day. If it isn't, we'll say so and point you in the right direction.

  4. Plan

You leave with a simple plan: what to do at home and when a check-in makes sense.

Between visits

The table is only half of it

Lasting change happens in the hours between appointments. We keep home care short and realistic, and we space visits out as you improve.

  • Five-minute routines: movements chosen for you, not a generic sheet.
  • Honest pacing: follow-ups taper off as you need them less.
  • Joined-up care: we'll suggest other professionals when they're a better fit.
Questions

Before you book

The things people most often ask us first. Anything else, just add it to your booking request.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable you can move in, like leggings, track pants or shorts and a light top. There's no need to change into a gown for most visits.

Do adjustments hurt?

Most people find them comfortable and relieving. You may hear a small pop, which is simply gas releasing from the joint. If you'd prefer, we can use low-force techniques with no quick movements at all.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what's going on and how long it's been there. After your assessment, we'll suggest a short initial plan and review it together, with no long prepaid packages.

Do I need a referral?

No, you can book directly. If you have relevant scans or notes, bring them along and we'll take a look.

Is it suitable for me?

Chiropractic care suits many people, but not everyone. We screen carefully at your first visit and refer on when something needs a different kind of care.
